Here is my list of 2009, with brief comments and links to full reviews on my LJ but all were originally sent also to [info] 50bookchallenge. In total I have read 150 books and 54,950 pages. I belong to three active reading groups meet monthly and so 36 of the 150 books were chosen jointly or through our local library.
There was only one book I've left this year and is not included. I have a ridiculous number of books on my "to be read" list, but I am grateful to Goodreads, and that gives me the opportunity to reorder the list. I am also grateful to the members of this and other communities LJ book for giving me a lot of recommendations for new books and authors.

There are about 109 children in the area of foster care or group homes, said Westlynne Benton, assistant director of Hall County Department of Family and Children's Services.
More local foster parents are always needed to care for children who have suffered abuse and neglect, he said.
"Anyone can become a foster parent," said Benton. "... We are constantly recruiting foster parents. We try to ensure that our children remain in the region so they need a home for them here."

Mel Damski ( "prank") will direct a script written by John Posey about a teenager (Gray) who tries to reunite his mother (Clarkson) and estranged brother (Dinner) 10 years after the death of his father, a school State wrestling legend. A brilliant student, with no apparent athletic talent, the young man decides to join the high school wrestling team as a way to lift the family.
Clarkson had roles in the films of Woody Allen's "What Works" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona." She appears in the following "by Martin Scorsese, Shutter Island," which hits theaters in February.
Gray has a recurring role on "Showtime" Dexter "and recently wrapped the thriller" shell. "Martin is a regular Californication" Showtime. "Glover following appears in the comedy" Death at a Funeral ", scheduled for a April launch.

Together with previously acquired equity, IAC will own approximately 9 percent of the active network. The deal is expected to close next month.

An important part of the reason may be that the football games, and more especially, the practices have a greater impact on the final classification, because these games provide a final evaluation of these players before signing day and may have an impact. For example, partly as a result of a mediocre performance in practice and during the game, U.S. Army, Jamarkus McFarland lost its fifth star last year.
